Pattern: Required, Patch the Pussycat or Digger & Dixie the Dachshund by Funky Friends Factory (the difference between Digger and Dixie is the shape of the tail — the sample is Digger).
*Not needed until second class
Roughly cut out all of the pattern pieces and glue them to thin cardboard (such as poster board or used cereal boxes). If you are making the dachshund, there is one piece that needs to be joined together before you cut the fabric. You can either join them before gluing to the cardboard, or you can join the cardboard pieces before you cut the fabric. After gluing, cut out all of the pattern pieces. Then trace the pattern pieces onto the fabric. Be sure to note that some of the pieces are reversed. Keep the pattern pieces with the fabric pieces and bring it all to class. Bring any leftover fabric in case any are cut incorrectly. If you trace the pattern pieces with a Sharpie, be sure to cut inside the Sharpie line. It is important that the pieces are the exact size of the pattern and not oversized.
